Tennessee Dancing Gourds
I wish I had documented this project better than I did... These were holiday gifts for friends and family that were almost a year in the making. In early Spring I planted seeds in my garden. All Summer, I cared for the plants. In the Fall I picked the fruit off the vine and dried the little gourds. I spent the Winter painting them and sent them out as gifts. My very talented cousin Matt Jones aka Songbird Jones wrote a song, coordinated the first ever Tennessee Dancing Gourd Spinning Championship and made a music video to accompany the song.
